Navigating the health insurance bureaucracy can be a very time consuming, frustrating and often difficult task.  For caregivers of children with special needs, the process can be even more challenging.

Join us on December 18, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Millburn Library to hear Scott Leshin, Founder and President of SJ Personal Healthcare Advocates, break down the bureaucracy while educating and empowering attendees to receive the benefits they are entitled to from their health insurance provider.

Topics will include:

  • Understanding your insurance plan.
  • Proper invoicing and coding.
  • Claims submission process.
  • Letters of Medical Necessity.
  • Appeals.
  • NJ State Programs such as DCF (formerly DDD), Catastrophic Illness Fund, CRPD Waiver

Scott Leshin founded SJ Personal Healthcare Advocates six years ago out of the needs for his own son.  Over the past six years he has helped numerous families receive the benefits they are entitled to under their health insurance plan.  These benefits include Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy along with Applied Behavior Analysis, Durable Medical Equipment and Nursing.
